Jo Koy Frost Bank Center Concert reviews
Disappointed
My family eagerly anticipated this concert. Unfortunately, this show was not very entertaining; in fact, at times it was downright painful. Most of the covers they played I really liked. They chose covers to highlight different members of the band. However, as much as I love the song Piano Man, they played it without a piano or any keyboard for that matter, and I really wanted to sing along with their tunes. The most disappointing aspect was the guitar solos that dragged on unnecessarily. They displayed a range of music to demonstrate their musical talents. After the 10-minute intermission, they had a pair of lengthy guitar solos between the two guitarists. It was just unbearable. Watching many fans leave in the misty rain was disheartening. I would have preferred to hear "Whatever It Is," "Island Song," or "Where the Boat Leaves From," among others. During the guitar solos in the Metallica cover of "Enter Snowman," we decided to leave as well. Fortunately, we caught their final song "Chicken Fried" before departing. I remain a fan, but I am hesitant to spend another $380 to bring my family to their show. Even my son, a musician who plays most of their music, wished we had gone to Hershey Amusement Park instead of attending the concert. It would have been more affordable, and I believe we would have had a better time.
